Digital x-rays are now used by a large percentage of the dental offices. A digital x-ray allows the dentist to take a digital image of the tooth or teeth via a sensor and upload it into an imaging program. Within this imaging program, there are a number of tools that will allow the dentist to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. You can also see the enlarged image on the computer monitor to be a more informed patient. Also, the digital x-ray sensor requires nearly 80% less radiation than a standard film x-ray. We use both digital intra-oral and extra-oral panoramic x-ray system.
